Day 37, Down 18.6 Pounds

Wow, already into my 2nd month in Cinch. I never imagined it would go this quickly and be this easy for me. I have NEVER lasted this long on any reduction program in the last 20 years. What is more amazing, for the first time in my life, I believe there is an end game at a normal weight. I am no longer resigned to being super sized for the rest of my life. I know I also have a normal weight in my future, not even "big". This is such a blessing. If this was even the teeniest hard to do, I would be finding all kinds of excuses to get my hands on my favorite munchies. I am not even slightly tempted. I am also saving a TON of money on the food and snacks I used to buy. I think I actually am saving money overall on this program. I used to eat out at least once a day. I am down to about once a week. I rarely even drink diet soda any more. Water is just more refreshing.

I am still at 18.6 pounds gone. One thing I did last Saturday, which was disappointing, is that I accidentally deleted my user profile on the Cinch Coach CD. I am a fairly literate computer user and never even noticed that it had a database backup feature. DOH!! Idiot alert!! I was conducting a training on a conference call on the CD Coach and meant to delete the user profile I set up as I helped my friend get started a week ago. Somehow I didn't notice it was my profile that was highlighted and when I clicked OK, I was a goner. Darn!! Thankfully I remembered my beginning weight and measurements (thanks to this blog), but I lost my first 4.5 weeks of Cinch history. Double Darn.

So if that is the ONLY negative so far in 36 days, I can only say, Cinch is God send. Please Cinch, it really works.

Another Day, Another Pound

Just a quick check in here. Today is day 32 on the program and down another pound to a total of 18.4 pounds. And this was a mid-day weight, not a first morning weight. When they named this the "Cinch" program, they named it perfectly. So far, stress free reduction. :)

It is Fun to Cinch With Friends

I just got done spending an enjoyable couple of hours helping my friend Norine get started with her Cinch kit. She is a tepid computer user, so we laughed and had fun as we went through the Cinch Coach CD and got her profile setup. She lives 2000 miles away from me, so we were each on our own computers. I helped her put in her profile, where she groaned about her weight and measurements. I told her, "Hey, it is just a starting point, just think how much fun we are going to have as these numbers keep getting smaller and smaller". That made her feel better.

What made her very happy is that her cinch coach told her she needs to eat almost 1900 calories a day. We actually had trouble finding enough food for her to eat to get all that in. Now she doesn't even feel like she is dieting at all. As Shaklee says, "IT'S A CINCH!!!"

My friend wisely opted to let the Cinch Coach plan her menu for the next 2 weeks. When you get started with Cinch, it puts in 14 days of meals and servings size and snacks beginning the next day. So she learned how to print out her meal plan for each day and the shopping list that the Cinch Coach automatically figures out for her. Then we discovered that behind the meal plan are also lists of the meals for the food preparation ingredients. All she has to do is go pull the ingredients out for her day and she is all set. We then printed out her recipes.

I really like how these reports look. A person can have a paper trail to chronicle their journey. I am going to print out all the recipes and put them in sheet protectors and put them in a notebook. That way I can have them ready at my finger tips.

I can't explain how much fun this is to Cinch with people we care about. There are about a dozen people I am close to all Cinching and we reach out and ask each other questions, celebrate successes and giggle together. I met a gent online at Yahoo Games the other night who is interested in Cinch so I am mailing him a sample of the Shake flavors. He likes the idea that he can use the company's referral program to help get his Cinch program paid for.

I dropped a lot of weight in the last few days. These past 2 days, I have remained the same. I am glad about that. Usually when there is such a sizable drop in 2 days, the tendency is for the body to "rebound" a pound or 2 before it settles on the lower weight. Instead I am staying between the same 0.6 pounds give or take. That is just body fluctuations.

If you have been referred to my blog because someone cared about you enough to tell you about Cinch, please give this a try. The best case is, it works for you, too. The worst case is you get some healthy nutrition for a couple of weeks, that never hurts. I only know of one person who got her kit, made all these excuses (lactose intolerant, etc, etc) and gave her kit back to her brother. She didn't even attempt to go to the store to buy soy milk so she could consume the shakes without the dairy problem. Then when she was told you can have 3 scoops of shake and add water instead of milk, she didn't want to hear it. My heart breaks for her because she is about 20 years younger than me and bigger than I was at that age. I hate to think about what she will be when she is my age, since I gained a lot of weight over those 2 decades. I know how uncomfortable it is to be outside the norm for "big". Hopefully she will see her brother do well on this program and try again.

I understand a person has to be ready for this. Frankly I used the Holidays as an excuse to delay my start. I wasn't really sure this would work either. Do I wish that I had started sooner? Not really. I think this was the right time for me. I go throughout my day really HAPPY. I am glad I can help myself, but I am grateful that maybe my blog here can help others.

All I can say is, if you are reading this and have no idea who I am, please believe in yourself. Get back to the person who asked you to visit my blog and say, "Yes, I want to Cinch, will you help me?" If you want more information, come to our Cinch overview conference call on Monday nites at 9 pm Eastern time (except Major Holidays, next one is Memorial Day, we will have our calls each Monday in February). The phone number is 712-432-3973, the pin code is 123456#. On Thursdays, at the same time and number, we go over how you can Cinch with 3, Get Yours "Free". The company has a very exciting referral program so you can offset your Cinch products costs with referral income from Shaklee. We have a lot of people who are opting to do this. We welcome you to join us on these calls and then get back with the person who invited you to read my blog and ask them to help you with your first Cinch order with your Starter kit.

When your kit arrives, join us on our Cinch Coach CD training call on Saturdays, at 1 pm Eastern, same number and pin code as above. We will show you how the Cinch Coach CD works. Have your CD loaded before the call and join us. Be at your computer so you can walk through the steps as we talk about it on the call. My friend Jody, who has dropped probably more than 40 pounds by now (since August), has had tremendous success because she uses the Cinch Coach CD regularly and lets it help her remain inside the 30% protein, 40% carb, and 30% fat calorie ratios. She learned that the closer she stayed to those ratios, the faster she is losing.

She also is using the pedometer that came in the kit (look underneath that cardboard panel above the cinch shakes in the starter kit - the pedometer and tape measure are there). She said when she first put on the pedometer, she was only walking about 1200 to 1500 steps a day. She said she was a slug. So she consciously went about upping her steps to now she regualarly hits the recommended 10,000 steps a day. You put it on your waist first thing in the morning and keep it on until you go to bed. Every step counts. For me, because I have horrific knee pain, I am going to wait 50 more pounds before i begin the walk outside my regular daily activities. By then, the stress on the joints will be a lot less and the Shaklee joint health supplements will also have helped to build back up my knee joints.

If you are not sure what Cinch really is, scroll down to the first couple of posts on this blog. I give a pretty good explanation of the products and the program in those posts. Happy Cinching!!

This is Just Getting Too Easy!!!

Wow, today marks the beginning of my 2nd 4 week period of Cinching. Right now, I am down 17.4 pounds total for the first 4 weeks. This is like shooting fish in a barrel, however instead of annihilating fish, I am annihilating fat cells!!! I measured myself 4 weeks ago, so I am going to do it again today, and report back in. Be right back

OK, I couldn't find my extra long tape measure so I improvised and used string. Drum Roll Please!!

Chest, down 2 inches
Waist, down 5 inches
Hips, down 4 inches

Total shrinkage of 11 inches during the first 28 days. So, 17.4 pounds and 11 inches. The arms and thigh remained the same. It is very difficult to measure the thigh since I am going all the way up to the top of the leg where it is the widest. The upper arm was the same, but it was hard to hold the string in place. However, Shaklee said the most important measurements were the waist and hips.

This is proof positive that fat cells take up a LOT of space. Who knew that a measly 17.4 pounds would result in 11 inches removed from my torso girth in 3 places??!!

OK, onward and downward, my 2nd 4 week period awaits more fun and success!!

Day 28, 15.8 Pounds Gone, This doesn't FEEL like a DIET!!!

This is very interesting. I was somewhat surprised to see another significant drop today on the scale. I think my body is doing its typical, drop a lot of weight, then stay steady for a few days, and drop again, routine. Since I am seeing this pattern, it will be more encouraging during the weeks when there won't be much of a drop on the scale.

I am in a good place with this adventure. I have never been this happy and optimistic on a program before. I only see the outcome as totally successful. I am glad this program is so easy.

13.6 Pounds in 27 days

On Tuesday, this coming week, I will hit my 4 week mark on the Cinch program. Today, I discovered I am 13.6 pounds down from my starting point. On Tuesday, I will take my first set of new measurements since I started. This has been a good week, little hunger, ate out a few times, stayed within the caloric intake each day with little effort. What this week taught me is that I can live a NORMAL life on this program and still lose weight. How cool is that?

My friend who has been Cinching since August, religiously uses the Cinch Coach CD. I admire all of its features, but my life was been very busy and I have not taken the time to master it. This weekend I spent the time to watch the tutorials and am very impressed with all it does. I learned it does a full 2 week menu, complete with a shopping list. I learned how to modify it to suit my needs and tastes. I used the "balancing" feature to help determine my evening snack to keep the 30/40/30 ratio of proteins/carbs/fats.

I have not been hungry enough to eat the full calories each day. The plan has me at 2350 calories a day. I am usually done at 2000. Now I realize that number will go down as I get smaller, but how fun is it to be on a weight reduction program and eat 2000+ calories a day? I have never heard of any that do it that way.

I helped put on a Cinch dinner party Friday night. We served all 3 flavors of the Cinch shakes, gave each guest a taste of the cinch bars, and then ate the salsa chicken from the Cinch recipe file, along with green beans. Everyone was so full. We had 2 ladies decide to Cinch with Us, and they went home to start their program this weekend. It is fun to Cinch with friends.

10 pounds in 19 days

This has been an interesting week, to say the very least. When I last checked in here, I was on my way to Chicago. I was attending a Shaklee "A New Year, A New You" event where they were making announcements that will carry us forward for the next few months. True to the rumors, we DID get a new flavor for Cinch. Yeehaw. My yummy favorite, CAFE LATTE. I quickly ordered mine on Tuesday and it arrived Wednesday. Ooh la la, scrumptious.

Now you have to understand, I have never driven by a Dairy Queen without driving through for a MooLatte. I really like to go to the quckie marts and make my own Cappacino with lots of the french vanilla creamers in them. Well, the Cafe Latte Cinch Shake mix tastes even better than those other treats because it doesn't leave that "too sweet" queasy feeling when you drain the cup. Instead, you have satiety for a few hours, with just the Cinch shake and 8 ounces of skim or soy milk. For variety, I even have added the Energizing Soy Protein to the Shake (with an extra 4 ounces of milk) and it is a vanilla-ee Latte flavor. I add the Soy Protein to one shake a day to get the nutrition my diabetic body wants and to help with the caloric intake. I have never been on a reduction program where I had trouble intaking the required calorie count each day. I am just not that hungry.

Which is a blessing. I am not battling any deprivation demons. I am not wanting to gnaw my right arm and left leg off each day. And more importantly, I am not a cranky witch all day long. Kudos for whatever nutrition is in the entire Cinch package. Somehow, this is all working out. I can't explain why I have such a high confidence level in what I am doing. I have NEVER been in this kind of place or space in 30 years of battling this problem. 2007 is my year. I am very happy.

One of the things I am doing is treating myself to more than one Tea stick each day. Shaklee now has added a yummy red tea to the Cinch lineup. It is Pomegranate Tea. I enjoy sipping the Cinch teas as I work throughout the day. I am now having one stick of each flavor per day.

Now, let me tell you about what made me laugh my head off on Monday. I went to Chicago and stayed on the program. I even told Houlihan's that I wanted green beans with my chicken wrap instead of the fries. Mercy, where is Karen??!!! Anyway, normally, I drink 4 or so glasses of water each day, the 30 ounce Tupperware tumbler size. In Chicago, I forgot to bring my bottled water from home and was so rushed, I only bought a couple of 12 ounce bottles each day. The program was so good, I didn't get up and refill my water from the pitchers in the back of the room. I got home on Sunday. Monday morning, I weighed myself and WOW, all "9 pounds" found me again. I just laughed my head off. I knew there was no way I ate 31,500 extra calories in 2 days to cause a true weight gain, especially staying on program. So I patiently continued the program and thought to myself, gee, this is going to be an interesting week. Sure enough, each day, 3 pounds gone. So I "re-lost" the 9 pounds in 3 days this week. Today, one more pound was gone, which is further down the scale on my way to the goal.

On Wednesday, I had the chance to ask the Shaklee medical doctor who was in charge of the Cinch development program about this "weight gain" this week. I told her I stayed on the program and she asked me about my water intake. I told her it was about 80% less than normal each day while I was traveling for 2 and a half days. She told me that I was dehydrated and my body was compensating for a period of water scarcity. She sounded shocked at the AMOUNT of the weight gain, but I laughed and assured her that I had so much to lose that this much was to be expected. This was on a conference call and I know she doesn't know who I am. Once she sees me, this probably would not have raised an eyebrow. My sister is a doctor and I told her about this water thing this week and she agreed with Dr. Jamie.

So this week, I got to "re-lose" my weight loss, because my body was trying to protect me from a drought. Now I know nature is a miracle and has wondrous ways of compensating to keep us alive. In some way, I wish we could talk to our body and say, "hey, don't worry, I will drink a lot of water when I get home" and then it wouldn't have to go to the effort to store it like a camel, for pete's sake. But our embedded physiological makeup does not listen to our brain, sigh.

But here is the happy note. Before, I would have just thrown my hands up in the air and said, screw this, it isn't worth it, and left the program. But because I wasn't hungry and having no deprivation issues, I was able to ride out this "setback", which I don't consider a setback. It just is what it is.

Today I was at a family baby shower. We are blessed that my cousin, who was told she would never have kids, is due on February 14th. It is interesting that she got pregnant one month after consuming the Shaklee basics vitamin strips!!! Her doctor required her to take tests every which way from Sunday because she didn't believe my cousin was really pregnant and the baby was going to be normal. However, I digress. At the shower today, they served the Subway 6 foot subs, some fruit stuff in a sauce with a sugary sauce we were supposed to drip over that. Then there was a slaw kind of salad. I had a small slice of the sub, and the slaw. I also had a small piece of the home made cake, knowing that I was fine, both calorically and protein/carb/fat ratio-wise. Now I did resist going for 2nd and 3rd pieces of cake as well as a plate of potato chips, which is appetite and habit. I have never understood how thin people just stay with one piece of cake out of habit and ignore the bowl of chips. My thin sister eats a piece of pie and leaves the crust!!! What is up with that??!! Well, it could be that when you aren't HUNGRY, it is easy to resist gluttony. I am learning that. I had no problems ignoring all those extra cake pieces today and that bowl of chips.

This entry has been a bit long today, but this has been an eventful week. I wanted to figure out what was happening with the weight fluctuations this week so I could accurately post what the real deal was. So, my 3rd week anniversary on this program is Tuesday. If I don't come back before then, check in then. Happy Cinching.

Day 10 - WOW, Just WOW

Today, as I got prepared for my day, I stepped on my scales and another 3.2 pounds of fat melted away. So here I am, day 10, down 9.2 pounds total. Last night, I wanted something crunchy and had just plain cheerios for my snack. It was pretty good.

What I like about Cinch is that I can lead a NORMAL kind of life, still cinch, and shed the fat. My morale is high and I just know that this time, in the long run, I will be at a more normal weight. For the first time in a long time, I now look forward to growing old. Before, I didn't honestly think I would live much past my mid sixties, even if I hit that mark. My very large aunt died when she was only 60. I am probably not quite as big as she was, but big enough to think that longevity was not my destiny. I have adjusted that attitude because I now know that my body CAN be more normal sized. I am having one of those "ah ha" times these past few weeks. This feels good.

I have a special event to attend this weekend out of town. I am not even daunted about handling a fat loss program while traveling. With cinch, it will be easy. I am taking my tupperware shakers (remember from my first post, they don't leak!!), my cinch envelope packets, my cinch bars and my cinch teas. I already have my cinch 3 in 1 tablets measured out for my days, so that is simple. The only thing I have to do today as I run some errands is get some more bottled water. I like the 24 ounce sport bottles. I am right now putting the tea pouch in a cup of water that is a 30 ounce cup. Sometimes it is half full, sometimes it is full. I like the taste either way. So I will have my water with me, my teas. This so works. I am also going to save so much money. It is very expensive to get meals in restaurants in the Chicago area, so I figure I am saving at least $80 for the weekend by my 2 meal replacements each day. This savings alone pays for a good portion of my first 2 weeks of my Cinch program.

Well I have to go, tons to do today. Let's see, haircut, post office, water bottles, check. Probably I won't post again until I get back, BUT I hear a rumor that we just might have a mocha flavor coming out. That might be announced tomorrow. Once it is, I will post it here, so you will be the first to know.

One Week Anniversary - Down SIX Pounds!!

It is official. One week on the program and I am down 6 pounds. And I am eager to see what happens this coming week. Finally, a program for the rest of us.

What is Cinch?

Cinch is a plan for the REST of us!! You know, the 65% of us that are overweight or more in America?

Do what I did, take a good look at those extra inches (or in my case, extra FEET of inches!!), and give them a BIG SMOOCH GoodBye!!

What got my attention is this is not a DIE-T, more like a LIVE-IT!! Cinch is real science, and a lifetime journey of achieving wellness, then moving on from there to fitness. It is not about LOOKING BETTER, but FEELING BETTER!! And if you are like me, a diet is everything you tried in the past, and Cinch is everything you have been waiting for!!

What about all the other diets? On those, you lose fat AND muscle. When you lose muscle, you lose your ability to burn fat, and then your metabolism drops. When you go OFF your diet, you can't burn calories like you did before because fat replaced the muscle you lost and now you eat the same as you did before and you gain even more weight. Yikes!! The dreaded YOYO effect from dieting. Rinse and Repeat, next thing you know, you are at a weight you never imagined in a million years that you would be.

The developer of Cinch, Shaklee, leverages 50 years of nutritional science leadership and innovation in the health and wellness industry. Shaklee products have fueled 54 gold medalists and 82 world class athletes to the highest achievements in the international sports arena. The scientists, doctors, and nutritionists all came together and created the Cinch plan and clinically tested it in 2006 prior to making it available to the public.

Cinch includes a clinically tested formula enhanced with leucine. Leucine is a muscle building amino acid found in some proteins. This proprietary formula is the foundation to the Cinch program to maintain muscle mass, but lose the fat. The participants in the clinical trial lost fat, and inches, but no lean muscle mass. This is key, because remember, we don't want to gain weight once we reach the inch loss we desire, so keeping our muscle mass is critical to this objective. In summary, this plan keeps the muscles we want, burns the fat we hate, and loses the inches that make us crazy!!

The Cinch Program:

Cinch Shakes: For maximum effect, replacing 2 meals a day with Cinch Shakes will help you achieve the results you want faster. You can also replace one meal a day if that fits your style better, and later on a maintenance plan of one meal of day replaced by a cinch shake will help you stay where you want to be. These yummy shakes come in a chocolate or vanilla flavor. Do they taste good? You bet!! Do you remember when your mom made cakes from the box when you were little and you got to lick the bowl? These shakes taste just like that. The vanilla shake powder mix smells and tastes like yellow cake mix batter. The chocolate shake powder mix smells and tastes like chocolate cake mix batter. Ymmm Ymmm Good With tons of protein, you feel full for hours, and with leucine, you are holding on to your muscle mass. You get the benefits of a meal, yet it tastes like a dessert. The starter kit contains 15 servings in a cannister, and a box of 14 servings packaged in individual envelopes for "on the go" lifestyles.

Cinch Bars: 3 flavors are available, and contain protein and leucine, which we now know is very important to our bodies as we lose weight. Do you like lemon cranberry? Peanut Butter? Decadant Chocolate? Great flavors with some crunch and you feel full for hours.

Cinch Energy Tea Mix: Comprised of white, red, and green teas, formulated to give you a lift and sense of well being during the day. They come in an easy to pour individual little pouch that you pour into hot or cold water, whatever you choose.

Cinch 3 in 1 Boost: Boost Metabolism, help retain normal blood sugars, and get the vitamins you need daily with one 3 in 1 boost tablet per meal. There are too many all natural ingredients to name them all. Because this is formulated to help retain normal blood sugars, there is no more "death by diet" feeling you get when you have been starving to death on other programs. Trust me, I tried them all and this was a very easy Week 1. You take one tablet with each shake and meal for 3 tablets a day.

The Cinch Coach CD helps you plan your meal and snacks each day, based on YOUR personal profile and needs. It will balance your 30% protein, 40% carbohydrate, and 30% fat nutritional needs that have been clinically proven to optimize your health.

You get everything you need in your Cinch Starter Kit. The only hard thing to do is decide which flavor to start with!! You have a full 2 weeks supply on the 2 shakes a day plan. The best thing is that when you reorder, you can order both shake flavors to add variety to your day. Even better, each Cinch meal is under $3 including the milk. We spend TWICE that when we grab meals on the go. You can save money by converting your wasted food dollars into Cinch Meals. You can save even more money by referring 3 friends to Cinch and you can earn a free kit for yourself. Find out how having 3 friends Cinch with you helps you stay motivated on the program and helps you earn free product refills basically for free.

With Cinch, you have nothing to lose but inches and everything to gain in a whole new life.

Find out more, on each Monday night at 9 pm Eastern Time, there is a conference call about Cinch. Call 712-432-3973 use pin code 123456#

Cinching My First Week - Down 6 Pounds!!

Happy New Year Everyone.

Here is my journey. I am a very large woman. During 3 decades, I dieted my way up to a very large size. I learned on various diets that they all sucked, big time. Either the food tasted bad, you had to take a daily trip to a diet center for shots, you didn't get to eat any real food at all, or there just wasn't anything that satisfied raw hunger.

I was introduced to the Cinch Plan last August when I went to a convention and I liked the science behind this program. I liked the concept of Cinch and I REALLY liked the kit when it showed up at my doorstep. Most big people have gratification issues. The Cinch Starter kit, I believe, is designed with this in mind. Most large, and not so large, people have paid BIG money to diet and try to lose weight. But, because of our gratification issues, we want to believe we are getting our money’s worth. That kit covers that psychological issue.

When I opened it up, I fell in love with the packaging, instantly. I liked the way the products are laid out nicely in their little beds inside the kit. I like the fact that the pedometer and MEASURING TAPE, are discretely tucked away under that part in the back of the kit. I like the fact that the measuring tape is a REAL TAPE, similar to a quality tape you can buy at the sewing notions store. Those paper tapes that many diet plans have are not robust enough to survive my kind of measurements!! (not to mention, they aren’t long enough hehe). Even though the Cinch shaker cup has its own issues (they are not leak proof if put in a bag already mixed), it looks pretty, too. However, I do use my Tupperware shaker cups, those are leakproof. I have several from all my other diets over the years. They are getting a workout now.

So, instantly, I loved the kit. I felt I got my money’s worth. The coaching CD was cool, too. The kit included 2 paper food diaries that look easy to use to log foods and then to put into the Cinch coaching program when time permits during the day. I put my CD in the computer and was eager to start. OOOPS, guess what? The setup screen, first question, is what is your current weight? YIKES, I didn’t have a home scale that worked for me. It took me a while to find one affordable. I did find a vendor that sells scales for really big people under $100. I think mine was around $75 including shipping. I found this scale after intensive Google searching over a few days. My objective was to find one that wouldn't hog the bathroom space and actually accurately weigh me. http://www.oldwillknottscales.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=11 They have many choices there. I actually ordered a different one with more capacity and was surprised that I didn't need one that high!!

So, I finally got my scale in November, but what sane person starts a weight reduction program just before the Holidays? NOT ME!!!! OK, Holidays came and went, and on December 26th, my Cinch journey began.

First week, all I can say, stay close to a bathroom. I think my Cinch products found every ounce of liquid I ever consumed in my entire life!!!!!!!!!! Whew, got those days out of the way. Tuesday, I put the CD in and got my profile filled out. I took my measurements using a measuring tape that I bought that goes up much higher than the standard ones. The computer told me to go on the 2400 calorie plan and told me I would be down to my goal weight in January, and not January 2008!!!!!!! However, that was based on a sane, level, gradual inch loss program. That was fine. It took 30 years to get here, so 3 years to get it off works for me, too.

Part of my strategy, based on Dr. Jamie McManus at Shaklee on a conference call, is to continue using the regular Shaklee Energizing Soy Protein because my diabetic body loves this stuff. The Soy protein is a very good food for Diabetics. Also, it helps me with the Calorie consumption. So my 2 shakes a day consist of 12 ounces of skim milk and one serving of Cinch Shake and one serving of Energizing Soy Protein. I had leftovers from Christmas for my first 3 days’ worth of meals. That was the easy part.

Now, I went to use the CD and had to ask for help on how to add a food not on the list so the computer can track my 30% protein, 40% carb, and 30% fat ratio. I made a mental note at that time to use the tutorial on the disk. Apparently it covers everything thoroughly. I had loaded the CD a while back and skipped the tutorial. The tutorial is on the disk itself, so I will dust it off and go through it later tonite.

What I liked about what the Cinch Coach does, is that it tracks the calories, tracks the intake ratios and makes suggestions for meal plans for each day. It also helps me to determine how to finish out my day with snack choices to maintain the ratio. No other program I ever used before gave me a self management tool this useful. I like the Cinch Tea, which is comprised of white, green and red teas. The 3 in 1 nutrition tablet helps with the hunger because it helps keep the blood sugar levels steadier, without peaks and valleys. The Cinch bars, and my plan calls for 2 a day, also stave off hunger, so I had a great first week. I can't decide which I like better, the lemon cranberry bar, the decadent chocolate bar, or the peanut butter bar. Yeehaw!!

After 7 days on Cinch, I have lost 6 pounds and that doesn’t even include what the scale will show tomorrow, when my first week actually finishes. I was only hungry a little bit, during 2 days, and those days were my fault. I was too lazy to cook and only ate cottage cheese and pineapple for one of those meals. My lessoned learned: eat the menu plan and the full calorie intake and you won’t be hungry!! Wow, what a concept . Another reason to eat the full calorie amount each day, is that it is designed to keep the fuel burning in your metabolism. Most of us who have weight problems have seriously slowed down our metabolisms to the point where we gain weight eating what normal, thin people eat in a day. Fortunately the Cinch plan is designed to reverse this situation.

How do I feel about Cinch today? I survived, very well I might add, my first week on a new program. This is the first time in 20 years I am moving to week 2 on any reduction program!! I thank Shaklee for developing a plan that works. I look forward to finding out first hand how Cinch will burn the fat and preserve the muscle. Their clinical trials proved that

If I can do this plan, so can you, so please talk to the person who referred you to this site and find out how you can start, too.
